I am interested in the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Specifically, I study disruption of RNA metabolism in ALS, which occurs via altered RNA binding protein (RBP)-RNA interactions, leading to broad changes in RNA processing. My work involves the use of genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics approaches in multiple cell and mouse models of ALS.
